Q. Hi i am looking for a car in the range of 8-9 lakhs with automatic transmission. Which one will you suggest - Etios Liva?

Best one is polo tsi automatic at around 9.50 lakhs (after discount) and then ford figo AMT (around 9.25 lakhs). In case of style plus diesel you may choose swift VDI AMT (8.60 lakhs). Unfortunately Toyota does not offer AMT in this range. If I have a budget of 9.50 lakhs then I will surely choose Polo TSI AMT for world class performance (excellent turbopower) and durability. Alternately as a safer option I will also look at Tiago petrol AMT (around 6.65 lakhs). My relatives has tiago and I found it more powerful and stable on highway due to more kerb weight. Durability is still a question though. I chose liva petrol V dual tone since AMT was not my requirement.

Live is to be discontinued. So going for that car only makes sense if you get a clearance sale kind of deal on it. At that price range, with accompanying offers you would be good. However, in the same price if you get glanza or swift, you should have a look at those too
