Q. Hi Team, after a lot of car comparisons and test drives, I am in a cross road.bwtween these two cars , S Cross and the Kia Sonet . Even thought they fall under different segments their price range is comparable. My apprehension is the Sonet is a new release and it may have some issues that new owner will have to face, also I cannot find a crash test rating. S Cross on the other hand had some features but not as much as the Kia Sonet. Ofcourse the S Cross is a petrol and the Sonet is a Diesel. I'm looking for a MT Engine. Hoping someone here can HELP !!!

Both cars are good enough and have pretty decent build quality. The S-Cross is a very capable city car. With a petrol engine, it becomes even better in its city duties. So,if you are looking for a spacious, comfortable car for city commutes, you may go for Maruti S-Cross. On the other and like the concept, the production-spec Sonet looks curvy and powerful. The Sonet looks sure to raise the bar a fair few notches for the segment. If you want more fun to drive car with a great interior and often go for long highway drive too, you may opt Kia Sonet Diesel MT. You may compare both the cars according to their variants.

I am using S Cross BS4 Diesel Alpha variant (facelift) since full one and half years. The experience is still amazing. Forget the features, the price is far less in comparison to the features provided with the same variant other vehicles. The mileage is in consistency with 21 km inside city and 23 -24 in the case of long highway drives. In other word value for money and peace of mind with this variant.

Had a similar Dilemma. The rear seat space is what mattered a lot to me and Scross takes a lead there Kia though relatively new seems to have a good product. Looks wise, features and Cabin, Sporty turbo (on the Tgdci model). So if space at the back is manageable go for the Sonet.
