• Q. I brought up a brand new Elite i20 petrol but now I'm concerned about its engine temperature as well as the mileage in the city. As the temperature display in instrumental cluster shows that the temp rises to mid point in the short ride of 5 to 7 km while the average per litre displays as 8 km/l. Please assist.

Engine temp. is no issue in the car, once you ride long way it get normal as usual, mileage u will get best in city around 12 -13 but highway with smooth driving maintaining 70 -80 km per hour, easily u will get 17 -18. it's better to avoid very short ride with car, if possible.

Short distance journeys in the car will always give you less milage as you cannot travel in high gears. Regarding the temperature issue, contact the service persons
