Jazz CVT is good in handling all sorts of (rough, inclined) indian road conditions. It does not have any problem like loosing control when climbing uphill like its big brother WRV. Acceleration is good. You need to balance as per driving conditions. The power is well enough to drive in city and as well as highway conditions. Maintenance costs are very close to the maintenance cost of it's sibling Honda City. So if you can stretch on your intial budget you get a sedan. I recommend to plan your vehicle as per your requirements. Average maintenance cost of Jazz CVT for 5 years (including the horrible 6 month service interval) is around INR 40K.

No; it doesn't roll back on slopes at all. The acceleration could be a bit more spiffy but you get there by pushing on the pedal a bit more. Maintenance has been just routine for me at approx. 8k per visit (oil change) every 7/8k kms
