Q. How is your experience to drive Yaris ?

I have been driving the yaris for 5 months now, Manual J variant. It is a fab car. Don't go by naysayers saying not driver centric, it is very fast after 50 kmh whatever the gear, and if you want speed just drop a gear and the car zips. That is because Toyota has tuned the car for mileage. You take your foot off the throttle, the car glides and the ecolight comes back on. Ecolight on means you are driving in a fuel efficient way. So this gives me the best of both worlds. Speed is there, if you want it. And the build quality is again great, better than Honda any day. I was hit badly by a rickshaw, and there is just a tiny bump on the door. This is not just love for a new car speaking. Reviewers on YouTube etc. mostly drive the CVT and ignore the manual. The manual is also pretty effortless to drive. You can engage the 5th with speed as low as 45 kmh and drive around all day in 4th and 5th.

Yaris is very comfortable and smooth to drive. raid clearance is not at all a problem. it gives around 15 to 17 km per litre, depending on road conditions.only we can't get instant pick up like turbo powered diesel engine. that's not a normal requirement according to me. mine is manual gearbox.I have driven CVT also. CVT is very smooth and gives more mileage than manual gearbox.

I drive the manual J version. It is very smooth. Yes, the pick up maybe is a little low from 20 to 40 kmh but all I need to do is drop a gear and I get the throttle response immediately. Above 50 kmh it is pretty quick. Also immensely stable at above 120 kmh unlike Marutis. In all, I am very happy with my purchase.Also please ignore the car reviews in the auto magazines and auto youtube channels, they expect a car to race all the time. Test drive the car yourself to decide.
