Petrol. Diesel car should be driven at least 10000 km per year. If you thinking only about running cost then definitely petrol. But if you like the diesel engine nature then you can buy diesel. But remeber one thing diesel i20 diesel cost more than 1 lakh in every varrinant compared with petrol and costly mainatanance cost also. Only buy diesel if you like diesel engines.

Only i20 petrol, blindly get it. Hyundai is planning to introduce turbo petrol in i20 soon. This turbo engine is a class phenomenon. So if financial condition permit then go for this engine. Hyundai i20 is an excellent car you will love it and once you ride a Hyundai car you will prefer Hyundai only. I have used i20 for 9 years.
