• Q. I have a Tata Nexon XZA+ AMT Petrol, 4 months old and total driven upto 3800kms till date. The problem I am facing is of the mileage which is extremely low. In daily city driving, where I drive 15 km in 1 hour, I am getting an average of 6.3 kmpl in city mode. Will my mileage increase after the car is done 5000 to 6000 km or not?

@ Tejas | Hey Manav, with this economy, would you suggest anyone to buy a Nexon. I am considering to buy one. But this mileage in Mumbai, looks pathetic. Plz reply

Hi, in lockdown times, when there is no traffic and signal, i am getting 7.5. which i believe is the max one can get in mumbai as roads will never be as empty and now. My odo is showing 9000kms and still the mileage is around 6.5 to 6.8 in normal mumbai conditions like we have in SV road and Link road. Have asked many people having nexon xza and even did a mileage test drive with tata people, they say this mileage is what you will get. But for a mattar of fact any car with petrol automatic gives you around 7 to 8 kml max to max with mumbai driving conditions. Like ford ecosport top model petrol automatic gives actual mileage of 5kmpl. don't know abt venue. Xuv300 doesn't have a petrol amt. But the look feel comfort of nexon is on another level. you wont find this feel in any of the cars of similar category

I have been driving tata nexon amt since 2018 and the mileage in the city is around 6 to 6.5 which is extremely low and annoying since the dealer at the time of sales falsely advt everywhere that amt and manual deliver equal mileage . I really feel there is issue with tata's amt gear box. I have tried to drive it with least pressure and in manual mode trying to keep it right at 2k rpm still no positives. wonder if ever the mileage shall improve. plus the engineers are in- capable enough to find any solution

Dont go with the Odometer reading it shows anything. Please check the mileage with litres of fuel like fill 10 litres when the low fuel indication appears and than check how much it runs till the low fuel indication appear again. My car is giving 15-18kmpl after first service. Not having any issues.Drive your car on economy mode when you are driving in city please avoid driving on half clutch. you will definitely see change in mileage. If this doesn't work then please consult the service centre and tell them about the problem.
