Only by Maruti Suzuki rest all companies have been working on to upgrade it to BSVI.Even for Maruti Suzuki, they say market will tell, so incase everyone else does it and market accept the premium of diesel after upgrading and reducing difference between petrol and diesel fuel price then even they might get it back.they have developed new 1.5 litre diesel engine which can be upgraded.

As of now its only been spoken about discontinuing the Deisel Vehicles but no confirmations yet. Instead, many manufacturers have now started thier focus on Electric Vehicles due to sudden demand increase.

Renault stopped the production of diesel engine cars. Even maruthi and nexa too stopped the production of diesel engine cars in India.

It's not fully true. only Maruti has decided to stop production of diesel engines as upgrading to the new BS VI will be expensive for them. rest all have already started to upgrade the diesel engine.

Not exactly. It's just that market is shrinking for diesel cars. And more stress will be on electric cars.I suppose next decade will be for petrol and electric cars.
