Yes, there is breaking issue in creta, I bought mine in 2019 and my friend told me the same but I didn't listen to him as he owns a previous version and I thought they must have fixed it by now and how come so famous car is having this issue, but when I drove my car it was fine but after sometime it started having this issue. I've shown it to service centre too they replaced some parts in free but still this issue exists. so YES creta has breaking issue.

Since I do not drive Creta, I do not know if there is any serious issue with braking system. However, tailgating is a common trait of India drivers. I have been hit several times from behind and invariably those cars were tailgating. I read in reviews of Creta that 100 to 0 km stopping distance is about 40-50m. If one maintains one car length for every 15 kmph speed then bumping into the car in front is definitely avoided even if the car in front breaks suddenly. This is true for any car, Creta included. At 80-100 kmph speed a minimum of 30 m (that is >100 ft!) distance should be maintained from the car in front.

Yes it has a issue i have often experienced the issue in case of bad roads and speed bumps the car literally goes free and the then controlling becomes difficult some times. if you are braking and at same time there is a p*t hole the car literally drives free and you can hear the abs sound too from the wheels
