As a owner of Jazz CVT, I have never experienced any problems when riding hill curves. The car can ABSOLUTELY handle all sorts of Indian road inclinations without any problem. Infact a this CVT car doesn't need hill hold assistance. I prefer to use S mode when climbing a hill or any inclined surface (at cellar parking) it's actually recommended in order to reduce load on engine. If you are thinking of automatic in this segment, Jazz CVT is the best. Now it is also offered with LED projector and DRLs.

When I am climbing steep curves like you describe i put it on cruise control and set the speed. The car changes gear accordingly as soon as it reaches and senses the gradient. There are also paddles on the steering to shift up and down in Sports mode

I have travelled on such ghat sections and found no problems except if you want to overtake another vehicle , for such instance using of S drive mode is very useful where paddle shift can be used which works similar to manual gear shift.
