Petrol i20 active is seriously under powered if you are considering i20 then go for i20 CRDI but CRDI have its own issues engine is super smooth and pick up is linear with no turbo lag but fuel efficiency is not that great my car is delivering around 16 km/ltr which is i think is pretty low considering the rivals like baleno gives 20 km/ltr consistently I would suggest if you must need cross hatch then go for Ford freestyle which is i think best value for money car in this segment and you can get top of the line diesel model for your budget and if you must need petrol then you will save at least 1 lac on Ford Freestyle..

Our i20 CRDI has bigger engine than baleno, swift etc, and heavier too. I think i20 is one crazy hatch back and no car under this budget which is so good. Keep good maintenance and your i20 could deliver 20kmpl if you have only mileage in your mind. Put the 6th gear and drive below 80kmph. You’ll see the difference. 🤗🙏🏼 Happy to help.

Hi I think you should go for Ford freestyle which is best in its cross hatch segment and with your budget you can even get diesel top end version of it which in my opinion best diesel engine its segment. and even freestyles petrol engine is also better than i20's and it is cheaper by at least 1 lac and all this i am telling you after using i20 active CRDI SX for last two years and 1lac kms quick facts Milage:16km/ltr no matter what you do it wont give you better than that avg servicing cost : 6000 to 7000 rupees
