• Q. I am planning to go for Jazz against my Fabia. What will be its petrol mileage on road? (Manual transmission). Is it better to go for diesel version? Everybody is criticising about low mileage and nonpunchy pick up. Which will be better? Kindly suggest me. I am thinking of going for a base diesel instead of top end petrol.

I have a petrol car it’s engine is really good and responsive. Mine is automatic variant and it gives mileage of 12 in Chennai city and I’m highways it gives 17kmpl. Diesel is good if your usage is more than 30 kilometres per day. Jazz maintainence cost is less compared to Fabia and cabin is bigger than fabia

Petrol Jazz manual city mileage should be around 12 to 13 kms/L. Highways closer to 17. That's more or less my experience with a petrol Jazz automatic. Pick up is a tad bit weak but not an issue in city drives
