The Ford EcoSport comes equipped with a Limp Mode which allows the user to drive the car home or to a nearby service center by adjusting the vehicle's acceleration and gear shifting capabilities. The function comes on when a vehicle sensor indicates a fault in your vehicle.

L stands for low gear. When your car is in drive, or D, the automatic transmission will shift through the gears as your speed increases. When your car is in low, or L, the transmission won't shift. Instead, it remains in a low gear, and less fuel is injected into engine.

My Ford ecosport goes into limp mode. No warning lights comes on. I have a ford ecosport 2015 1.5 turbo diesel. What is the fault on the vehicle? Any suggestions?

What causes the limp mode on my ford ecosport 1.5tdci 2015 model? No warning lights comes on.

In my car of July 2018, Petrol Titanium +AT, this mode is not there
