Q. When I start my MG Hector it shows authentication failed?

@ Manmohan | Today I faced same problem in running hector one hour back . And hector stopped in middle of highway in midnight. Contacted MG team ,they assure to send assistance. Fortunately after few tries of pushing switch on butten, It again started & I happily moved on. Horrible to know from team MG that it was software malfunction.

Thanks guys, I also faced same problem today. My vehicle switched due low speed at 4 gear. I tried to start in motion by reducing the gear to 1. It didn't start, the tried pressing start button again and again due to traffic behind me. immediately i received this error on the screen. Contacted RSA team they said the vehicle has to be towed only. Then contacted one of their local staff and he recommended to switch of completely push the vehicle to a side and wait for 15 mins before any restart try. This process worked out.

Our car MG hector showed 'Engine Authentication failure' and stopped after a while. Trust me.If the problem is minor one, follow the steps:1.Press the Start/Stop button with out clutch and acceleration and hold it for 15 seconds.2.Lock your vehicle and get down.3.Get away from the car and wait for 15 mins.4.make sure that your key and car has enough distance so that the signals from your remote doesn't trigger the car5.start after 15mins.6.if it still doesn't start, search for the white flag and call service centre.

This worked with me today. Normally when you shut the engine in gear and again restart to bring engine to parking mode, it doesn't start sometimes. Today same happened with me, called a mechanic, arrived after 1hour, pressed the gear shift button twice and turned on engine and it started.

Well I have face the same issue, however, the service center told me that may be the Engine start/stop button or the Keyless entry door button had been pressed many times due to that the system was hanged and this what happened.

Even I faced this issue couple of time. Once it was horrible as I was on hills. Both the time, I got my vehicle pushed for few meters and suddenly my engine started working. I am using MG Hector Plus.

Mg motor is having the worst Ismart app, and their team for app issue is more worst than their app, 3 months they are unable to solve a issue
