@ Abhishek | This tell how good products hector and harrier are with the same engine they give 14-15 in city and 20-22 on highways and compass is now at the end of its life , just a suggestion compass will get 14-16 lacs on the used car market , sell it and go for either hector or harrier or even seltos !

Harrier is a good product. no doubt. on the average part I'm totally with you, jeep is a gas guzzler. but dude what are you comparing. mg and kia with a jeep. tell me if a mg or kia is safe as a jeep. the metal that jp provides is very strong. take mg and Kia offroading, it won't be near to a jeep. comparing a harrier and a jeep, I can agree. but a mg and kia with jeep. lol

I have found that if I drive very short distances (2-3 ķm), my Compass petrol automatic delivers only about 5 kmpl. However if the distance is more than 10 km, the value climbs to 8 kmpl if there traffic is not too heavy with too many stop starts. Being an SUV, fuel efficiency is quite sensitive to variable speeds.

I did a highway drive from Chennai to the hills in yercaud on my 1.4 petrol ddct compass 2022 model. Initially on the highway, with driving between 1500 to 2300 RPM the avg readings were 13 kmpl but after the climb it dropped to 10.5. With the tank full method I see that I got 10.3 which is not bad for a heavy suv like this given that climbs would have used a lot of engine power and the car was loaded. I agree with other users, short rides in the city and idle engines are a killer for the Jeep as it guzzles gas on those. Longer rides at constant RPM gives better gas milage. @abhishek I don’t think it’s fair to compare a Kia or MG with Jeep. Both are a segment below and are of cheap build quality. Proof is in the crash test ratings they have got which is below 3 star. Many smaller Tata cars scored more. So your comparison is incorrect.
