After keeping everyone waiting for years, Tork finally took the wraps off its new electric bike, the Kratos. The base model of the Kratos retails at Rs 1,32,499, while the top-spec Kratos R is priced at Rs 1,47,499 (both ex-showroom Pune, FAME-II subsidy included). With that out of the way, here’s everything you must know about it.
Looks Premium
Tork has done a good job with Kratos’s design. Right from the sharp all-LED headlight to the edgy faux radiator shrouds, everything makes the Kratos seem like a premium motorcycle. And this sportiness is also complemented by the split seat setup and the Bajaj Pulsar NS-like alloy wheels.
The base variant of the Tork Kratos comes only in white colour, while the Kratos R gets three separate colours (red, blue, and black) to choose from.
Suitable For All
The Tork Kratos has been built by keeping the Indian consumer in mind. So the Kratos comes with a low seat height of just 785mm along with mid-set footpegs and a single-piece handlebar. All this should give it a neutral and upright riding posture.
The Kratos is a little weightier than its arch-rivals at 140kg, but it shouldn’t be a huge problem. Plus, tip-toeing will be easier than ever, thanks to the walk and reverse assist features.

Juicy Powerhouse
The most important thing for an EV to be successful is its power and range, and we’re happy to report the claimed numbers for the Tork Kratos are promising on both accounts.
The Tork Kratos is powered by a 4kW (continuous) motor, mated to a 4kWh battery. According to the company, this corresponds to a real-world range of 120km (in Eco mode), a 0 to 40kmph time of 4-seconds, and a top speed of 100kmph. Meanwhile, if you run out of juice, the battery can be fully charged in 4-5 hours via the home charger.
Not satisfied? Well, then you can opt for the higher-spec Kratos R which has a top speed of 105kmph and is capable of fast charging from 0 to 80 percent in 60 minutes.
Up-to-date On Features
Like most EVs, the Tork Kratos comes laden with features. The standard list includes LED lighting, an LCD instrument cluster, smartphone connectivity, a USB port, hazard lights, riding modes, reverse mode, and regenerative braking to boost range.
Meanwhile, the Kratos R unlocks some extra goodies like smart analytics, bike track mode, walk assist (crawl mode), and geo-fencing.
Trusty Underpinnings
Underneath the bodywork, you get a proven split-trellis frame which is sprung on a telescopic fork and a monoshock. Additionally, the bike rolls on 17-inch alloy wheels clamped by disc brakes at both ends. The brakes only feature CBS; while ABS is missing.
