Bajaj Freedom 125 Crosses 40,000 Sales In Six Months

Bajaj Auto has announced a significant sales milestone for their CNG bike, the Freedom 125. The bike surpassed the 40,000 units sold mark in just six months after its launch in July 2024. The motorcycle is priced from Rs 89,997 to Rs 1.10 lakh (ex-showroom) depending on the variant you choose. The bike has piqued interest among the consumers, especially those looking for a vehicle with low day-to-day running costs.

Dual-Fuel

The bike features a dual-fuel system, combining a 2kg CNG cylinder with a 2-Litre petrol tank. This setup design allows the bike to offer a range of up to around 300km on a single full tank. The bike has been praised for its ability to reduce fuel costs as compared to other conventional petrol-powered commuter motorcycles in the 100-125cc segment. It also offers a pretty good combination of comfortable suspension and eye-catching design, thanks mainly to its supermoto-like stance and a very long, comfortable seat.

Availability

The Freedom 125 is available in 350 towns across India that have access to  CNG refueling stations. Bajaj has been working closely with the CNG producing and distributing companies in India to improve the fueling experience for customers. Early adopters of the bike have mostly shared positive feedback, further contributing to the model’s success.

Future Plans

Looking ahead, the brand is now focusing its aim on expanding the Freedom's presence in more cities and rural towns, with plans to also deepen engagement with customers in these areas. The company is also preparing to introduce the motorcycle in select international markets in the coming few months, to further broaden its reach. With this strategic expansion and a growing customer base, the Freedom 125 is positioned to play a key role in Bajaj’s portfolio as it taps into the increasing demand for cost-effective, eco-friendly transportation options.
