Swift CNG engine specs

A 1.2-litre Dualjet petrol-CNG engine powers the Swift S-CNG, tuned for 89PS and 113Nm on petrol mode and a humbler 77.5PS and 98.5Nm on CNG mode. It’s paired with a 5-speed manual transmission as standard on both variants.

The petrol Swift already gets a stellar fuel economy of over 22kmpl; the S-CNG is claimed to deliver up to 30.9km per kg of CNG.

Depending on the variant, the Maruti Swift S-CNG offers features such as push button start, automatic climate control, electrically adjustable and foldable outer rearview mirrors, rear wiper and washer and a 7-inch SmartPlay Studio touchscreen.

Fuel efficiency and lower overall running costs of CNG are the strong points of the new Swift CNG. However, with the Swift’s already small 268-litre boot, you’d likely have to put your shopping bags in the rear seat.
