After previously comparing it with Nexon EV, in this article we have compared MG’s new EV with the Tata Curvv EV. Both these EVs pack a lot in terms of equipment and have their own unique design language, thereby catering to different sets of audiences. If you are confused between the two, read on to find out which EV offers more value:

The Windsor EV’s starting price is close to half the price of the electric Curvv’s starting price, but that’s not the whole picture. With the Windsor, you will have to pay a battery rental fee of Rs 3.5 per km as you use the vehicle. Head over to our detailed story on the same to know more.
Even after bearing the battery rental fee plus the buying price, the price of the Windsor EV will undercut that of the Curvv EV by a couple of lakhs. So, is the Tata EV worth the extra money? Let’s discover the same:

The Windsor also comes with a best-in-segment wheelbase of 2700 mm, which is clearly larger than that of the Curvv EV. Both the cars offer fairly large boot spaces, but it is the Windsor EV which grabs a point here as well.
Overall, the Windsor will offer you more space inside the cabin, thanks to its longer wheelbase and wider dimensions.

Curvv EV offers two battery pack options, while the Windsor EV comes with a single battery pack.
Both battery packs of the Curvv are larger than that of the Windsor EV, with bigger claimed range figures as well.
The Curvv’s electric motor generates more output, irrespective of which battery pack you choose
The Windsor’s 331 km claimed range is significantly less than that of the Curvv EV.
The Curvv EV charges quicker using a DC fast charger.
The Windsor EV has entered an EV space which is dominated by the SUVs and its crossover body style looks fresh and unique. Both Windsor EV and Curvv EV are loaded to the brim with features and comforts and offer great packages overall.
The Curvv EV has its appealing coupe design which will catch your attention when you see it in the flesh. It offers some additional features, but most importantly it comes with the larger battery packs that return a greater claimed range. The Curvv EV also packs in more performance as it is the one with the greater output. So, if you are going to drive the car more than being driven around, and want to use your EV for long distance road trips, then you could consider the Curvv EV.
The Windsor EV is more for someone who wants to be chauffeured around, and its spacious cabin and segment best reclining rear seats aid that narrative. Its biggest advantage over the Curvv is its asking price, which is significantly less. However, you don’t get the same level of range offered with the Curvv EV, which limits its use case. But if you’re planning to use it in the confines of the city limits, with occasional inter city runs, then you could definitely pick the Windsor EV.
