Tata recently showcased the exterior design of the production-ready Curvv EV, with no signs of any interior detail. However, Tata has now uploaded a video of the SUV coupe in which we can clearly see a glimpse of the production-ready interior for the first time. Here’s everything we could discern from the latest video:
Tata Curvv EV: Interior
The dashboard layout and design remains similar to the Nexon EV. For starters, you get the large 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system which dominates the dashboard. Placed in the lower centre console are the touch-based climate control buttons, similar to what we’ve seen with new Tata SUVs.
Instead of the two-spoke steering, the Curvv EV will come with a four-spoke steering wheel, which has been taken from the Harrier. It features steering mounted-controls for the infotainment system and controls for the ADAS features. Keen-eyed observers will notice a strip of ambient lighting that runs across the centre of the dashboard.
Tata Curvv EV: Features
Apart from the aforementioned features like 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a fully digital driver’s display, it will also come loaded with features such as a panoramic sunroof, multi-colour ambient lighting, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 10.25-inch digital-driver’s display, a wireless phone charger, a dual-zone climate control, cruise control, rear AC vents, ventilated front seats, and a branded audio system.
The safety features onboard will likely include six airbags as standard across all variants, along with ABS with EBD, a 360-degree camera, hill hold and hill start assist, front and rear parking sensors, electronic stability control, a tyre pressure monitoring system and level-2 ADAS features that have been confirmed by the interior preview.
Tata Curvv EV: Powertrain
The Curvv EV is expected to come with 2 powertrain options, a Standard Range and a Long Range. A claimed range of 500km can be expected. Just like the Nexon EV, the Curvv EV too should offer V2L (vehicle-to-load) capabilities.
Tata Curvv EV: Price And Rivals
The Curvv EV is expected to be priced around Rs 20 lakh (ex-showroom). It will compete with the MG ZS EV, lower variants of the BYD Atto 3 and the upcoming Hyundai Creta EV. It will also be an EV alternative to compact SUVs like the Kia Seltos, Hyundai Creta, and Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara.
