The Mahindra XEV 9e gets a total of six monotone colour options.
It sports a coupe like body style with the new Mahindra logo alongside connected lighting elements and 19-inch alloy wheels.
Top features include triple screen setup with 12.3-inch displays, illuminated glass roof and 16-speaker Harman Kardon sound system.
It gets a 59 kWh and a 79 kWh battery pack and a MIDC (part 1 + 2) claimed range of 656 km.
Introductory prices start at Rs 21.9 lakh (ex-showroom).
The Mahindra XEV 9e debuted alongside the BE 6e, introducing the Indian marque’s all new INGLO architecture which is to follow in their upcoming EVs. This midsize electric SUV-coupe features a distinctive design philosophy, especially from Mahindra’s standpoint. Enhancing its futuristic appeal, the six colours in its palette add charm and style to the car that can surely make it an attractive choice for buyers.
Let’s take a closer look at how the EV stands out in each of its available body paint options below:
One among the common shades between the two new Mahindra EVs is this cherry red hue. It's not very bright and spicy, hence giving a more refined and upmarket look to the car.
The clean white shade looks classic on the XEV 9e. The bright white finish, extending to the front grille of the SUV, makes it look elegant.
The most sophisticated shade of all is this sand-like colour, which makes the SUV look increasingly futuristic.
If you want your car to look bold and meaner, this glossy black colour makes the car look commanding on the tarmac. It is the last of the shared colours of the XEV 9e with the BE 6e, albeit the latter calls it differently.
This dark shade of green, as the name suggests, might trick your eyes into thinking it’s faded black from a distance. However, it looks quite unique, bringing a stylish road presence to the SUV.
The most stylish of them all, at least as the author believes, is this Navy Blue colour. It brings just the perfect balance between sportiness and sophistication. Like the green, this is also unique to the XEV 9e.
This maroonish hue, what they are calling the Ruby Velvet looks very mature besides being stylish.
If you're a fan of a flashy colour, this golden hue in the XEV 9e’s palette should do the job. It exudes royalty with its shimmer and shine.
The Mahindra XEV 9e offers two battery pack options: a 59 kWh and a 79 kWh unit. The rear-wheel-drive, single-motor setup delivers up to 286 PS (with the 79 kWh pack) and 380 Nm of torque. It also claims an impressive MIDC range of 656 km, with detailed range and battery specs available in this story.
In terms of features, the XEV 9e comes with three 12.3-inch display units – each for a digital driver’s display, a touchscreen infotainment system and an entertainment screen for the passenger. Additional features include an illuminated panoramic glass roof, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, dual-zone climate control, multi-colour ambient lighting, powered and ventilated front seats, a 16-speaker Harman Kardon audio system, cruise control, multiple wireless phone chargers and connected car technology.
For safety, the XEV 9e is equipped with 7 airbags, a 360-degree camera, auto park, front and rear parking sensors, a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS) and level-2 ADAS features.
The introductory price of Mahindra XEV 9e starts from Rs 21.9 lakh (ex-showroom). Full prices could be revealed at the upcoming Bharat Mobility Expo! It will take on the upcoming Tata Harrier EV.
