The micro-SUV segment has become a surefire success in India in recent years. Among the expansive showcases from the Vietnamese marque VinFast at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025, the VF 3 micro-SUV fits right in. While an India launch for this cute and compact SUV hasn’t been announced yet, here’s a quick rundown of its design highlights for those eager to know more.
Before we take a closer look at the VF 3, let's see how the car measures up on paper.

From the front, the VinFast VF 3 adopts a square-centric design language. The signature VF logo stretches across the width of the vehicle as seen in many other models the brand showcased along. The old-school polygonal headlights are complemented by a blacked-out bumper that adds a contrasting and rugged touch to the nose.
The side profile of the VF 3 highlights its boxy and rugged stance. Black cladding around the wheel arches makes it look chunky, while the door handles, body-coloured ORVMs, and pillars are all finished in black, adding to the cohesive design. The VF 3 features a unique two-door setup.
At the rear, the VF 3 sports a clean and flat design. The taillights do not bring any aggressiveness either. They have been kept simple yet stylish. The lower bumper area features black detailing, mirroring the rugged treatment seen at the front.

Inside, the cabin is free from unnecessary frills. The dashboard carries a large 10-inch infotainment system that also doubles as the driver’s display, eliminating the need for a separate instrument cluster. There are horizontal AC vents sitting just above the physical AC controls. The low center console and absence of armrests allow easy access to the rear seats through the space between the front seats.
The rear seats offer space for two passengers, but legroom may not be ideal for taller or bulkier . However, the inclusion of seatbelts for all four passengers ensures safety for everyone.
The VinFast VF 3 is powered by an 18.64 kWh battery pack paired with a single electric motor that delivers 43.5 PS and 110 Nm of torque to the rear wheels. It has a claimed range of 215 km and supports fast charging, allowing the battery to go from 10 percent to 70 percent in just 36 minutes.
The VF 3 is expected to launch in India at an approximate price of Rs 10 lakh (ex-showroom). It doesn’t have any direct competitors in the Indian market as of now. What are your thoughts on this compact and functional EV? Let us know in the comments!
