Going by the recent spill, the e Vitara is likely to be launched in three trims: Delta, Zeta, and Alpha. There appears to have been an intent on the part of Maruti to make nearly all the key features standard across all trims based on comfort, convenience, and safety. Very few extra amenities feature in the middle spec-Zeta. Some features like 360 camera, ventilated seats, and the debutant ADAS offered by Maruti on the top-end variant Alpha.

From the perspective of the Indian mass-market segment, which Maruti has always catered to, the entry-level Delta variant of the e-Vitara could be a compelling choice for those eagerly awaiting a Maruti EV. Maruti Suzuki e Vitara: What Does It Get?

The base-spec Delta variant of the Maruti e Vitara comes equipped with a host of features and covers almost all the essentials one would need to feel comfortable, convenient, and safe.

 The e Vitara Delta will come equipped with the smaller 48.8 kWh battery pack. The claimed range with the same hasn’t been announced yet. We expect it to hover well around the 500 km mark, pretty much like the international-spec model.

Looking at the features missing from the e-Vitara Delta variant, it's true that they enhance the cabin experience and add to safety. However, for buyers aiming to own an electric vehicle while keeping costs in check, these omissions might be a reasonable trade-off.  

 The Delta trim also misses out on the bigger 61.1 kWh battery pack which claims to deliver over 500 km range as per some internal testing.

Besides, while the mid-spec Zeta trim has added a wireless phone charger and a rear parking camera, all the remaining premium features are seen in the top-end Alpha variant. Maruti has brought its first-ever ADAS suite only on the Alpha variant. 

So, if you go on super long drives and ADAS features also form a priority of your driving needs on Indian roads, the Alpha variant might just be worth a look.

Maruti Suzuki e Vitara: Price And Rivals

The Maruti e Vitara could be priced at around Rs 17 lakh (ex-showroom). We’ll know its official prices as it gets launched soon in March 2025. Only after that it will be fair to judge, which trim stands as the perfect value for money. The first electric Maruti will be rivalling the likes of Mahindra BE 6, Tata Curvv EV, Hyundai Creta Electric and the MG ZS EV.
