Jiterndra EV has launched the Yunik electric scooter in India
Gets a 3.8kWh removable battery with a claimed top-speed of 75kmph
Comes in five colour options: Meadow Green, Dusk Blue, Forest White, Volcano Red, and Eclipse Black
Jitendra EV, a Nashik-based EV manufacturer, has launched their latest electric scooter in India, Yunik. The scooter is available in a single variant and is priced for RS 1,24,083 (ex-showroom, Delhi).
The Jitendra EV Yunik gets a retro design which reminds us of Vespa scooters. The scooter gets a round LED headlight surrounded by an LED DRL, round mirrors, illuminated logo on the front apron and LED indicators at the front. The side profile is dominated by a single piece quilted seat and alloy wheels at both ends. The rear profile is completed by a swooping rear-end which gives the scooter a contemporary look. The scooter is available in five colour schemes: Meadow Green, Dusk Blue, Forest White, Volcano Red, and Eclipse Black.
The Jitendra EV Yunik gets a 3.8kWh removable LMFP (Lithium Manganese Ferro-Phospate) battery which delivers a claimed range of 118km on a single charge, and is paired to a hub-mounted electric motor which propels the scooter to a claimed top-speed of 75kmph. The battery is Bluetooth-connected via Jitendra EV’s smartphone app called “JENi” which allows the user to monitor the charge levels and thermal state of the battery.
The scooter gets a conventional telescopic fork and dual rear shock absorbers. Braking is handled by disc brakes at both ends mounted on 12-inch alloy wheels with tubeless tyres. The ground clearance is rated at 180mm, so it shouldn’t have any difficulty with even large speed breakers. In terms of features, the Yunik comes with a digital display which shows all the basic information such as the speedometer, state of charge, trip meters, etc. Additional features include, keyless ignition, side stand sensor and an USB charging port.
The Jitendra EV Yunik electric scooter is priced at Rs 1,24,083 (ex-showroom) and goes up against the likes of Bajaj Chetak, Ather 450S, TVS iQube and the Vida V2 in India.
