BYD India has launched the facelifted version of the e6 MPV, now called the eMax 7, at Rs 26.9 lakh (ex-showroom). Apart from a new name and cosmetic updates, the eMax 7 now gets a three-row layout with both 6- and 7-seater options as well as an additional smaller battery pack option. The electric MPV is offered in two variants: Premium and Superior.
Here’s a look at the variant-wise prices of the BYD eMax 7:

Design updates made to the eMax 7 are minor, but surely noticeable. It gets a new sleek silver grille that merges onto the revised set of LED headlights. The bumper design has been tweaked and adds to the minimalist look. No major changes have been made to the side profile, except for the new dual-tone alloys. New connected LED tail lights and a tweaked rear bumper round off the overall design updates.
The eMax 7 is offered in four colour options: Cosmos Black, Crystal White, Harbour Grey and Quartz Blue.
Open the doors of the eMax 7 and you’ll notice the cabin has been draped in a new black and brown colour scheme. The dashboard layout hasn’t been tweaked, but now gets new materials and steering wheel for a breath of fresh air. The lower centre console also houses the updated gear selector.
But the biggest update, in our opinion, is the three-row layout with both 6- and 7-seater options, which massively improve the electric MPV’s practicality quotient.
The BYD eMax 7 gets all the features one would need such as a 12.8-inch rotating touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 6-speaker sound system, automatic climate control, powered front seats with ventilation, a panoramic sunroof, wireless phone charger and a powered tailgate.

Passenger safety is taken care of by six airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control, 360-degree camera, electronic parking brake with auto hold and ADAS.
This is another area where the BYD eMax 7 has got another round of important updates. A new smaller 55.4 kWh battery pack is offered alongside the existing 71.8 kWh battery pack. Along with that, the electric motors now pump out more power than before. Here’s a detailed look at the specifications of the eMax 7:
