The MG Windsor is a Creta-sized electric vehicle, with a design language that’s unique in contrast to other similarly sized vehicles. It has a crossover-like shape, with a simple and clean design that boasts a full LED lighting setup right from its base variant.

The cabin is airy and the styling is minimalistic in the way the flat dashboard has been set up. It follows a black theme for all three variants with contrasting gold inserts around the cabin. Most of the real estate is taken up by the massive 15.6-inch infotainment system, which is complimented by a 8.8-inch digital driver’s display.
Features are plenty, including the aforementioned screens, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, wireless phone charger, automatic AC with rear vents, a powered driver’s seat and a fixed panoramic glass roof. 6 airbags 360-degree camera, a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), and electronic aids like electronic stability control (ESC) and hill hold assist make up its safety suite.

If you plan to own the Windsor EV for an extended period, you’ll be happy to know that MG is offering unlimited battery warranty for its first owner.
MG is yet to reveal the full pricing for the Windsor’s three variants. We know the base variant is priced at Rs 9.99 lakh (introductory, ex-showroom), which doesn’t include the cost of the battery. You’ll have to pay Rs 3.5 per km under MG’s new battery ownership program, which helps bring down the initial cost of acquiring the electric vehicle.
Size-wise, the Windsor EV would be an appropriate rival to the Tata Nexon EV and Curvv EV, and the Mahindra XUV400. But considering its price, it can be considered as a bigger alternative to the Tata Punch EV.
