New Citroen logo is an oval with dual chevrons, available in red, black and blue shades.
The new logo will be seen on all production models globally from mid-2023 onwards.
The carmaker also has a new brand signature (motto): ‘Nothing Moves Us Like Citroen’.
French carmaker Citroen has announced a new logo and brand identity that will be seen on the carmaker’s next concept car to be unveiled on September 29. Designed by the Stellantis Design Studio, the new logo replaces the double chevrons currently found on Citroen vehicles with a new oval badge in an ‘Infra-Red’ shade. Citroen is also bringing back the iconic Monte Carlo Blue paint shade for the logo and production models in the near future.
“By embracing our roots and reinterpreting our identity in a modern way, we are sending a clear message to everyone that while we’re staying true to our brand DNA, things are changing dramatically at Citroën.” – Laurent Barria, Head of Citroen Marketing and Communication.
Similar to other carmakers, Citroen has introduced the new logo whilst it is planning towards going electric. The simplified logo and new brand signature, “Nothing Moves Us Like Citroen,” has been released as a symbol of the carmaker’s forward-looking approach while still staying true to its legacy.
The double chevrons within an oval logo dates all the way back to 1919 when the company was first formed. This logo continued in various formats and colours well into the 1950s. The free-standing chevron logo that we associate with the carmaker today is fairly recent and replaced older designs only in 2009. The current logo is a part of the front grille design in Citroen models such as the C5 Aircross and C3 hatchback.

An electric car, that’s good. But for us, it’s far from being #enough. See you on September 29th. pic.twitter.com/hwJwRCE2gV

The first car to wear the new brand logo will be the concept vehicle that’s set to be unveiled globally on September 29. There’s no information about the vehicle’s specs or even its powertrain, but we do know it’ll be a family vehicle that’s likely to be powered by an electric drivetrain.
