Will be powered by a tri-motor AWD electric powertrain with a 0-96kmph sprint time within two seconds.
Fisker targets range figures to go up to 965km on a single charge.
Teaser reveals a sleek design with haunched front fenders, large wheels, and a cool illuminated lighting at the front.
Fisker is planning on beginning its India innings with the Ocean SUV in 2023.
While production of Fisker’s first electric vehicle, the Ocean SUV, is yet to begin, the carmaker is already looking to the future with potentially their third EV. Company CEO, Henrik Fisker, took to instagram and dropped the first teaser of a new electric GT sportscar called the Ronin. Fisker plans on debuting the first prototype by August 2023.
So what’s coming for the Ronin? For starters, it's going to be powered by a tri-motor electric powertrain, with the battery pack being integrated into the structure for more efficiency and lower weight. Paired to an all-wheel drivetrain, the Ronin will be capable of a 0-96kmph sprint within just two seconds. Henrik Fisker claims this will not affect the range, as they’re targeting up to 600 miles (965km) of range on a single charge.
That’s not the only juicy part as the Ronin will belong in a niche segment, being a four-door convertible GT electric sportscar. Dissecting the teaser images, we can tell the Ronin will have a sleek design. It’s quite a haunch on the front fenders, and if you look further ahead, there’s a cool illuminated pattern which seems to be LED DRLs. The massive wheels round off the design.
Back home, Fisker is planning on beginning its India innings, with the Indian arm being called Fisker Vigyan Pvt Ltd. It’s already established its India headquarters in Hyderabad, Telangana, with plans of bringing in the Ocean SUV and upcoming Pear EV. The former is likely to arrive in 2023, while the latter by 2024. As for the Ronin, we might have to wait for as long as 2025 to see it in India.
