Hyundai has revealed the electric version of the Creta, ahead of its official launch on January 17 at the Auto Expo 2025. At first glance, its design language and styling will remind you of its ICE counterpart as there are plenty of elements that have been shared. However, being an electric iteration, there are EV-specific design elements that give the Creta Electric its own personality.
The ICE-Creta on the other hand was updated last year, where it got a more modern-looking design with some futuristic design elements.
Here is a side-by-side comparison of the design of the standard Creta with that of the EV version:
The fascia of both ICE and EV versions of the Creta consists of connected LED DRLs, positioned above the vertically stacked LED headlamps. The Hyundai logo in the ICE version of the Creta is comparatively bigger, while that of the electric iteration is present on the front charging port. The latter comes with a closed-off grille, while the former has a large grille with horizontal elements. The bumper and silver skid plate of the electric Creta get a tweaked design. Overall, the front styling of the Creta Electric is more in line with the Creta N Line, than it is with the standard Creta.
In profile, the silhouette of both Cretas are identical and have a similar stance. The Creta Electric gets new 17-inch aerodynamic alloy wheels which sets it apart from the ICE-version. Both versions get roof rails to compliment the SUV stance of the Creta.
Both versions of the Creta come with a roof-mounted spoiler, a rear wiper and connected LED tail lights that look identical. You also get a shark fin antenna on both for a sporty appeal! What’s different is that the electric Creta gets a new design for the rear bumper and in the lower section of the rear end. In the ICE-Creta, the variant name is marked on the right side of the tailgate, but on the EV version, you will find the “Electric” lettering in the same place.
