Hyundai Creta Electric and Mahindra BE 6 are the latest entrants in the mass-market electric SUV space. They are both attractive in their own unique way and make it a difficult task for buyers to pick the one that suits their requirements best. We have already compared their top-spec features in detail, and now, we give you a complete side-by-side comparison of the Mahindra BE 6 Pack Two (mid-spec) variant and the Hyundai Creta Electric Smart (O) (mid-spec) variant.
The BE 6 is available in a total of 5 variants, while the Creta Electric can be had in 6 different variants. While both are available with two battery packs, we have taken the BE 6’s smaller battery pack and the Creta Electric’s larger battery pack as they are of similar sizes and the respective variants are of similar prices.

Top-spec variants of both these SUVs have a larger difference. The Creta Electric tops out at Rs 23.5 lakh, while the BE 6 with its larger battery pack comes up to an ex-showroom price of Rs 26.9 lakh.

In terms of storage space (frunk+boot space), the BE 6 offers more space which means you could probably carry an extra duffel bag if you opt for the Mahindra EV.

In most cases, the “No” becomes a “Yes” in higher-spec variants. The variants that we have chosen in this comparison offer enough for the price but come with compromises on both sides. The Creta EV gets a few extras like a powered driver seat and ambient lighting, but overall it is the BE 6 which offers a more enhanced package. It has more safety features including ADAS and front parking sensors, as well as convenience features like the digital key, and wireless connectivity for Android Auto and Apple Carplay.

We have taken the smaller battery pack of the BE 6 and the larger one of the Creta Electric, but still, it is the BE 6’s battery that is larger by a fair margin. With the larger battery pack, the BE 6 also offers a greater claimed range. The BE 6’s electric motor produces significantly more power and torque and sends power to the rear wheel as opposed to the Creta Electric which has a front-wheel drive system.
Both Mahindra BE 6 and Hyundai Creta Electric are very well-packaged SUVs and you won’t really go wrong with either one. Mid-spec variants of both SUVs offer plenty, save for the fancy tech and premium amenities that you get with higher-spec variants. While the Creta Electric has originated from a successful recipe of the Creta ICE, the BE 6 is a completely new SUV with a polarizing design. Around the Rs 21.5 lakh mark, it is the BE 6’s Pack Two variant which looks more appealing and better packaged in almost every aspect. That being said, we believe that you should personally go and check out these SUVs at your nearest showroom to understand how the two feel and appear in real life.
To help your buying decision, here’s a variant-wise price-explained story of the Creta Electric, and you can head over to this link for the variants-explained story of the BE 6.
