If you have been following news about the Ioniq 6, you must already know that its design, which was revealed not so long ago, is impressive and unique. Now, the carmaker has revealed its technical specifications and dimensions. Let’s not waste any time and dig right into it.

The Hyundai Ioniq 6 is based on Hyundai's E-GMP platform, which is a skateboard platform and can be altered to underpin any type of vehicle - like a sedan and SUV. It can also be extended or shortened depending on the vehicle. So compared to the Ioniq 5 hatch, which uses the same architecture, the Ioniq 6 is longer but shorter and slightly narrower as illustrated in this table below.

The Ioniq 6 gets a 77.4kWh battery pack teamed with two electric motor options: a single rear-wheel drive motor with specifications currently unavailable, and a dual motor set up producing 325PS and 605Nm. In max attack, the dual motor set up can sprint from 0-100kmph in just 5.1 seconds.

For those who are okay with a smaller battery, there will be a 53kWh unit as well. Couple it with the rear-wheel drive motor option, and Hyundai estimates it’ll do under 14kWh per 100km according to WLTP. Like the Ioniq 5, the Ioniq 6 will support fast charging options as well as vehicle 2 load function, which allows you to operate certain appliances from the EV’s battery.
