Mahindra BE 6e and XEV 9e: Unleashing An Electric Revolution

Lamborghini has taken the covers off the Lanzador, its new electric concept. While the name could fool some into believing this is a replacement to the Aventador, that spot has already been filled by the Revuelto and the Lanzador actually previews the fourth model – a 2+2 electric crossover – in Lamborghini’s lineup alongside the Urus, the Huracan replacement, and the aforementioned Revuelto.
The inspiration from existing Lamborghini models is obvious throughout the design. The front takes a page out of the Urus’ design book, with a pointy nose and very similar airdam design, albeit with closed panels.
As dissected from the teasers, the profile is reminiscent of the Estoque concept that broke cover in 2008, but never saw the light of day. The squarish wheel arches seem like another Urus inspiration, and are filled nicely by the chic alloys. It sits high off the ground but is styled like a sports car, previewing what looks like a model that will fill the space between its supercars and Urus.
Remember the Lamborghini Sian? The Lanzador takes design cues from the roadster as well, and those can be seen in the three-insignia taillight units sitting just below the trunk. Sharp lines define the chunky rear end which is rounded up by the massive diffuser, which looks rather huge but not very aggressive as per Lamborghini standards.
The interior, especially the dash area, seems to be taken straight out of an intergalactic spaceship. The floating central console is tall and holds some rather alien-spec panels, giving the cabin a proper cockpit-like feel. The passenger gets a dedicated screen as well.
All the four bucket seats do look really sporty, but comfort might not be a priority here by the looks of it. They do shout concept seats, and the production model could accommodate regular, bum-friendly seats, especially considering that this is a 2+2.
If the production model will have nearly the same power that this concept sports, then we could potentially have the most powerful road going Lamborghini ever on our hands. The Lanzador gets two electric motors, one at each axle for an all-wheel drive, which combine together to produce 1360PS.
Battery specs and its corresponding range figures haven’t been divulged, but to optimise the latter, there’s a bunch of active aerodynamic trickery like the front air shutter and movable splitter. Even its chassis is active with components like air suspension and steerable rear wheels which help in making the car more agile and nimble.
The Lamborghini Lanzador Concept is set to spawn a production model sometime around 2028, which is still quite some time away. And although it remains to be seen how Lamborghini will encapsulate the driving experience it is famed for, initial impressions are positive.

It will mark the fourth model in Lambo’s lineup and will be the torchbearer for the carmaker’s efforts to go electric as it bridges the gap between the Urus SUV and its sports cars. It would be an apt rival to the Ferrari Purosangue, but given that there’s no gasoline running through its veins, it would be an alternative to the Tesla Model X, Lucid Gravity, and Porsche Taycan Cross Turismo.
