Lexus, the luxury vehicle division of Toyota Motor Corporation, has showcased the LF-ZC concept at the 2025 Bharat Mobility Global Expo. It shows off the new design direction of the Japanese carmaker alongside a new EV-only architecture and battery technology that promises two fold range compared to traditional electric vehicles. With this, Lexus intends to become an EV-only brand by 2030 in Europe and globally by 2035. Here is everything you need to know about the new Lexus concept. It is interesting to note that the LF-ZC means Lexus Future Zero-emission Catalyst.
The LF-ZC bears a sleek and sharp look and claims to offer a combination of aesthetics and functionality. The new design philosophy, dubbed Provocative Simplicity, emphasis aerodynamic efficiency. As mentioned earlier, it features sharp cuts and creases throughout the exterior. At the front, there is a familiar Lexus face, which looks aggressive with the edgy swoosh-pattern daytime driving lights. The side of the sedan showcases a steeply sloping roofline and low-slung stance. At the back, the LF-ZC concept has been given a full length light bar and a pair of vertical rear lights. It measures 4,750 mm long, 1,880 wide, and 1,390 tall, with a wheelbase of 2,890 mm.
On the inside, the LF-ZC concept does not look less than a car from a sci-fi Hollywood film. It gets a range of screens with a new Arena operating system. The displays are placed within the reach of the driver, allowing them to operate various vehicle functions, such as driver assistance systems, drive mode selection, artificial intelligence related features, and AC controls. There is also a wide-screen heads-up display.
Lexus has made a big claim about the LF-ZC concept and its future offerings based on the same platform. It aims to deliver around twice the range of traditional electric vehicles with its new-gen prismatic battery and improved energy efficiency.
The Lexus LF-ZC concept will go into production sometime next year, followed by global market launch.
