The Maruti eVX, an all-electric offering from the automaker, will make its debut in India at the 2025 Bharat Mobility Global Expo. Usually, Maruti Suzuki reserves its high profile unveils and launches for a significant occasion. And the carmaker has confirmed that the all-electric SUV will roll out from its Gujarat plant by the end of 2024. So this makes us believe that the production-spec eVX will be showcased at Bharat Mobility, scheduled to take place from January 17 to 22, 2025.

The eVX made its first appearance as a concept in 2023 at the Auto Expo in India, then a more evolved version was showcased at the Japan Mobility Show in the same year.  At the start of 2024, Toshihiro Suzuki, President of Suzuki Motor Corp, Japan, announced that the eVX will be rolled out from Suzuki’s Gujarat plant by the end of the year. The automaker also confirmed plans to export its first battery-powered vehicle to Japan and several European countries from India.

Maruti eVX: What To Expect?

The Maruti eVX will enter the electric compact SUV space in India owing to its Grand Vitara-like dimensions and will compete with models like the MG ZS EV and Tata Curvv EV. Test mules of the eVX have been spotted in India, and the production-spec version is expected to closely resemble the more evolved concept version showcased at Japan. Key design highlights of the eVX include a closed-off grille with Y-shaped LED DRLs, flush-type door handles, and connected tail lamps with a distinctive three-part emblem.

Inside, the eVX will feature a sleek cabin design, including integrated screens typical of modern cars. You can also take a detailed look at the eVX by visiting this link.
