The production-spec Maruti e Vitara, which was earlier showcased as the eVX concept, has now finally been revealed at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025. Slated to be the first electric offering from Maruti, the e-Vitara presents strong competition to other stalwarts in its segment like the Hyundai Creta EV, Tata Curvv EV, MG ZS EV and Mahindra BE 6. This compact electric SUV will only be manufactured in India and will be exported to global markets. It is being offered with a host of features and two battery pack options, all of which we have detailed below:
Upfront, the Maruti e-Vitara features sleek LED headlights, which are accentuated by the three-piece Y-shaped LED DRLs. It also has fog lamps positioned slightly below the front bumper, which looks aggressive in design.
The profile looks rounded, with bold blacked-out body cladding adding some muscle that runs along the outline of the wheel arches as well. The ORVM is body-coloured, while you get traditional front door handles. The rear ones are neatly integrated just behind the window panel above.
The Maruti electric SUV sits on blacked-out 18-inch alloy wheels.
At the rear, you get connected LED taillights with a light signature similar to the DRLs, a shark fin antenna, and a roof-mounted spoiler.
The e-Vitara’s cabin features a black/tan dual-tone theme with semi-leatherette upholstery. The dashboard design carries the same black and tan finish with plenty of soft-touch materials, highlighted by dual-screen floating displays and vertical AC vents with chrome accents, spaced evenly.
The floating centre console includes cup holders, an electronic parking brake, a rotary dial for selecting terrain and drive modes, traction control buttons, and connects to the front centre armrest, which offers storage space. The two-spoke, flat-bottom steering wheel has audio and call controls mounted for easy access.
For features, the e-Vitara comes with 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a 10.1-inch digital driver's display, automatic climate control, a fixed glasssroof, ventilated front seats, 10-way power adjustable driver seats, sliding and reclining rear seats, a 360-degree camera, a premium Harman/Kardon sound system, a head-up display, a wireless phone charger and connected car tech with 60 plus features.
In terms of safety, it includes seven airbags as standard, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control, and an electronic parking brake with auto-hold. Additionally, it is the first Maruti car to offer Level-2 ADAS features for enhanced safety.
The Maruti e Vitara retains the same powertrain as its international spec variant, except for the all-wheel drivetrain that is offered with the bigger battery abroad. In India, it gets two battery packs and a front-wheel drivetrain with both. The bigger battery pack also gets an all-wheel drive system. It has a claimed range of up to 500 km.

The Maruti Suzuki e Vitara can have its prices starting from Rs 17 lakh (ex-showroom). It will be launched by March 2025. With that, it is the new electric compact SUV rival to the likes of MG ZS EV, Mahindra BE 6, Tata Curvv EV and Hyundai Creta Electric.
