First showcased at the IAA Mobility 2023 in Munich, Germany, the CLA Class concept builds on Mercedes-Benz's Modular Architecture (MMA). It features a clean sheet yet a familiar design that has been a signature style of the CLA nameplate since its inception in 2013.

A light stripe running throughout the bonnet an A-pillar with a similar pattern seen at the back, three-pointed motifs used in the headlights and taillights, an elongated bonnet, low-slung stance, short rear deck, and a slanting roofline are the main highlights of the CLA Class concept. At the front, it set itself apart from the previous CLA Class models with a huge blanked-off grille, which shares a strong resemblance to the one on the AMG GT and SL. This grille adorns an array of illuminated stars with a big logo in the centre.
