German automaker Mercedes-Benz has launched the Maybach EQS SUV Night Series at Rs 2.63 crore (ex-showroom) in India at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025. This special edition brings a fresh dual-tone exterior theme to the electric SUV alongside a similar dual-tone theme on the inside. It is worth mentioning that the brand offers the Night Series editions of the Maybach S-Class, Maybach GLS, and the Maybach EQS SUV. Notably, it is expected that the new Night Series EQS SUV will go on sale in India in the coming months.
First revealed at cocktail evening in the New York City neighbourhood Greenwich Village, the Mercedes-Maybach Night Series takes luxury to a new level. More to the point, the EQS SUV Night Series retains the overall design of the regular Maybach EQS SUV with a couple of exceptions.
Maybach has always used ample chrome for its models and the new EQS SUV Night Series carries that forward. However, the electric SUV adorns dark chrome and rose gold treatment along with new alloy wheels with a dark glossy Maybach pattern. In fact, the closed-off signature grille features darkened Maybach pinstripes, polished black window frames, and a running board finished in black. Most importantly, the EQS SUV with a special paint option, such as Obsidian Black and Manufaktur Diamond White. There is also a Maybach signature dual-tone colour Obsidian Black with Mojave Silver.
Inside, the opulent interior of the EQS SUV Night Series has a herringbone decor. It uses leather, which is vegetable tanned in white or black and black pearl shade with decorative stitching in grey. There are also Econyl mats. Although the Maybach EQS SUV keeps the same layout as the standard EQS SUV, its screen setup displays mystical start-up animation for the user interface.
Mercedes has bestowed the Maybach EQS SUV Night Series with all the bells and whistles, such as four driving modes (Eco, Sport, Off-road, and Maybach), air-matic air suspension, rear-axle steering, powered rear window sunblinds, a 15-speaker Burmester 4D surround sound system, active ambient lighting comprising 253 individually controllable LEDs, two 11.6-inch displays in the rear with an MBUX tablet, digital LED headlights, and MBUX Hyperscreen that consists of three screens — a driver display, an infotainment system, and a co-driver’s display.
It is expected that the India-bound Maybach EQS SUV Night Series will benefit from the same powertrain as the regular Maybach EQS SUV. There is likely to be a 118 kWh battery pack paired with a dual electric motor setup producing 658 PS and 950 Nm. Notably, the electric SUV has a WLTP range of up to 600 km. In terms of performance, the Maybach EQS SUV can reach 100 kmph from a standstill in 4.4 seconds and provides a top speed of 210 kmph.
As claimed, it supports DC charging capacity of up to 200 kW, allowing the battery to recharge from 10 to 80 percent in 31 minutes and can offer up to 220 km of range charging after 15 minutes. On the other hand, the Maybach EQS SUV gets a 22 kW onboard charger, which can juice up the battery in 5 hours and 50 minutes.
