New MG ZS EV Exclusive Pro variant launched at Rs 27.90 lakh.
It brings Level-2 ADAS features to its brochure.
Now packs Autonomous Emergency Braking, Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), and Speed Assist System (SAS).
No changes to its electric powertrain or comfort features list.
The MG ZS EV was one of the first mass-market long-range EVs in India with no immediate rival apart from the Hyundai Kona Electric. We already know that a facelifted version of the ZS EV is in the works, but for now, MG has updated the current model with Level-2 ADAS features to match its ICE-version, the Astor.
Launched at an introductory price of Rs 27.90 lakh (ex-showroom), the new Exclusive Pro trim marks the apogee of the ZS EV’s variant range and packs new Level-2 ADAS features like Traffic Jam Assist, Forward Collision Warning (FCW), Lane Keep Assist, Autonomous Emergency Braking, Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), and Speed Assist System (SAS).
These new features work on three levels of sensitivity - low, medium, and high; which can be selected as per the driver’s preference. They further include three types of warnings - haptic, audio, and visual. If the driver doesn’t respond despite the warnings, the system will take matters into its own hands and apply the brakes to avoid the collision – something that wasn’t possible before this specific update.
Of course, in addition to the aforementioned new features, the ZS EV retains its Blind Spot Monitoring System, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, and Lane Change Assist. Other safety features of the EV include six airbags, a 360-degree camera, ABS with EBD, TPMS, four disk brakes, and an electronic parking brake.

There are no changes to its powertrain as well. It continues with its 176PS electric powertrain coupled with a 50.3kWh battery pack for a claimed range of 461km. The battery can be recharged via multiple options, including a 50kW fast charger.

At the time of writing, MG didn’t reveal any changes to the prices of its existing variants, which are priced between Rs 23.38 lakh and Rs 27.40 lakh (ex-showroom). The new Exclusive Pro trim is priced at Rs 27.90 lakh (ex-showroom). Apart from being a rival to the Hyundai Kona Electric, the MG ZS EV can be considered a premium alternative to the Mahindra XUV400 and Nexon EV Max.
