The V1 platform to spawn more exciting e-scooters in the next two years

Hero Vida, the EV arm of the leading two-wheeler manufacturer of the world, has recently unveiled an ambitious brand expansion plan at an investor meet. The company announced that it aims to establish 100 new dealerships across the country by the year 2024. This strategic move is part of Hero Vida's efforts to not only solidify its position in the highly competitive e-scooter market but also to hint at future products that will spawn from the V1 e-scooter platform.

In addition to expanding its dealer network, Hero Vida is also set to invest in the development of more electric scooters which should start rolling out by Q4 2024. The company plans to gradually build a range of electric scooters based on the V1 platform. Hence, we can expect different e-scooters from Vida with different personalities like sporty, family friendly etc.

Currently, the Vida V1 Pro offers a balance of sporty and everyday practicality; however, as an e-scooter it doesn’t satisfy either need with great excitement. Hence, the idea of a sporty Vida offering a higher top speed and more aggressive styling would be great for enthusiasts. Meanwhile, imagine a proper family e-scooter from Hero’s stable, like TVS’s iQube! A product like that would really compliment Hero’s mass-market “family” appeal.

Hero Vida's plan to expand its national footprint and introduce new electric scooters isn’t a surprise. With the competition stepping up and offering products built on the same platform but at varied prices and features, it’s allowing brands to invite new customers through the door. Then, it only makes sense that Hero does for Vida what it has successfully done for its ICE scooters too.
