Ola’s CEO Bhavish has tweeted a video showing a clay prototype of the upcoming coupe crossover

Not too long ago, Ola revealed its first car, which is a crossover coupe eyeing to snatch the tag of the fastest all-electric car made in India with a targeted 0-100kmph time of under 4 seconds.

Ola’s CEO Bhavish Aggarwal has now tweeted a video which shows the clay model of the car along with some bits of the car’s design in software.

We already know that the design features some intriguing bits such as a full glass roof, full-length LED lights, and a crossover body style. Ola also claims the new EV will have an impressive drag coefficient (Cd) of under 0.21. The specifics are not yet out of the dark but a confirmed range of 500km along with a 0-100kmph time of under 4 seconds is impressive. If these figures can be achieved, Ola’s debut into the automotive world will also be the fastest car that is made in India.

The new EV is expected to feature many driver assists, a fast-charging system, and Ola’s MoveOS operating system. Ola’s newly established Battery Innovation Centre will play a key role in the development of the new EV as the facility will handle everything from research to the production and testing of batteries. A 2170 Lithium ion battery will be used to power the new model. Production duties of the upcoming EV will be at Ola’s Futurefactory in Tamil Nadu.

Ola is keeping further technical details close to its heart. But going by the numbers, we expect it to be a game-changing product if Ola manages to engineer and deliver a reliable product in 2024. And as for the pricing, we expect a figure somewhere around Rs 40 lakh putting it in the ring with the Kia EV6 and the Volvo XC40 Recharge.
