In a recent tweet, Ola Electric teased two snazzy new shades for the Ola S1 e-scooter series. The two shades teased seem to be lime green and electric blue, both of which are not available on any of its e-scooters – S1, S1 Pro and S1 Air. Ola will launch both shades in July 2023, at the ‘#endICEAge’ event, along with unveiling a new variant of the electric scooter.
The two light shades should enhance the funky charm of the e-scooter quite well. The S1 Pro is currently available in 12 shades, whereas the S1 can be had in 11 colour schemes. On the other hand, the more commuter-ish Ola S1 Air is available in just four colour schemes.

The Electric Blue colour is a vibrant shade, and will sit between the Neo Mint and Midnight Blue shades. Apart from that, Ola already offers a green colour in its palette, though it is a matte dark shade called Khaki Green. The new Lime Green, then, is a lot brighter and snazzier.
Post the recent FAME 2 subsidy revision, the Ola S1 and S1 Pro are now costlier, sporting price tags of Rs 1,29,999 and Rs 1,49,999, respectively. The price for the S1 Air, too, has increased and it now costs Rs 1,09,999. Oh, and as mentioned at the time of launch, the deliveries for the S1 Air were supposed to start from July, so expect the details for the same at this event as well.
In the premium EV segment, the S1 series goes up against the Ather 450X, Bajaj Chetak, TVS iQube and Simple One e-scooters.
