Ola Electric CEO Bhavish Aggarwal has tweeted a video showing a bunch of Ola S1s with their lights synced to music. And no, this is not the “Party Mode” that came with the MoveOS 3 update, but a new “Concert Mode” that is set to debut with the MoveOS 4 roll out.
While the details about this feature weren’t clearly mentioned in the video, we think of this as an amplified version of the “Party Mode”. The feature could possibly allow multiple Ola e-scooters in close proximity to pair with each other and sync their lights to the music played.
Check out the teaser video here.
This is the first time the EV maker has confirmed the arrival of the MoveOS 4 OTA update. Just like the MoveOS 3, we expect a few performance updates and other bug fixes with the upcoming update. However, does the “Concert Mode” actually make sense?
To us, not really. How often would you be riding along with a bunch of other Ola S1s and play music using the concert mode? And even if you do, the chances of creating public nuisance is higher, unless people use the concert mode in an empty, open space. The feature that could actually be a game changer is the Active Driver-Assistance System (ADAS) that the company has been testing.
