Mahindra had launched two sub-brands for its electric vehicle lineup, the first products of which are the BE 6 and XEV 9e. Both the EVs are offered in three variants: Pack One, Pack Two, and Pack Three. According to an RTO document, the mid-spec Pack Two variant of both models will get just the smaller 59 kWh battery pack option as Pack One. The larger 79 kWh battery will be limited to the top-end Pack Three variant. Now that the full specifications are out, let's take a brief look at both these Mahindra EVs.
Mahindra BE 6 is probably the most future-like SUV seen on Indian roads. It sports sharp lines, a coupe-like sloping roof, and a bold front end with C-shaped DRLs and sharp LED headlights. Hidden rear door handles and flush-fitting front handles add a touch of modernness to it.
Its powertrain specifications are as mentioned below:

Inside, the BE 6 has a tech-heavy and driver-focused cabin. There is a dual-screen infotainment setup, a unique gear selector that looks like an airplane thrust lever, and roof-mounted buttons for an added futuristic look. Its top features include a fixed glass roof with multi-colour illumination, a powered tailgate, dual-zone climate control, a 16-speaker Harman Kardon sound system, an onboard selfie camera, and a 'Groove Me' light and music show that matches the ambient lighting with music.
The BE 6 gets all the safety essentials like seven airbags, ABS with EBD, ESP, and all-wheel disc brakes. It comes equipped with a 360-degree camera and ADAS features like adaptive cruise control, lane assist, automatic emergency braking and auto-park assist.
The Mahindra XEV 9e is a larger electric SUV coupe with a rather elegant design compared to its BE sibling. It has a large blanked-off front grille, connected LED DRLs, clean body lines and 19-inch alloy wheels. Compared to the BE 6, the XEV 9e is more traditional and suits those who want a classic yet futuristic design.
