Simple Energy is all set to launch a new electric scooter on December 15, one that’ll likely be priced under Rs 1 lakh, meaning it’ll directly rival the Ola S1X. It’ll essentially have a fixed 3.7kWh battery pack that ensures a 160km IDC range. While Simple hasn’t given out other details, the brand has said that its underseat storage will be more than 30 litres. The brand hasn’t specified the exact number but more than 30-litres of underseat storage is definitely impressive. For perspective, the Simple One gets a 30-litre boot.
The Dot One will also get a touchscreen instrument console with Bluetooth connectivity. Given that the Dot One is built on the same platform as the One, it’s likely that it’ll be the same 7-inch TFT console that we’ve seen on the One.

Interestingly, Simple has also said that ‘existing customers can consider the Dot One as an alternative to the Simple One’. Only time will tell whether prospective customers would want to opt for something that’s a run-down version of the Simple One. And talking about the Simple One, we have reached out to the company for more information about the delays that the scooter has faced. Even after being launched once again earlier this year, only a handful of them have actually begun reaching customers. It remains to be seen how Simple will handle the production of its more affordable scooter when the full-fledged deliveries of the already existing Simple One are yet to happen in full swing. Stay tuned to ZigWheels as we bring you more about the upcoming electric scooter.
