Electric mobility startup Simple Energy has announced that it’ll begin the production of its much-anticipated Simple One from January 2023. As for the scooter itself, the Simple’s 4.5kW motor belts out a claimed 72Nm along with a 105kmph top speed. Its 4.8kWh battery claims an impressive 236km IDC (Indian Driving Cycle) range.

We had also ridden the pre-production version of this electric scooter a few months ago, and we were floored by its potential. If it’s something that catches you fancy too, bookings for the scooter are currently open on the brand’s website for Rs 1,947. Even though the multiple delays over the past couple of months are disappointing, we hope that next year the company begins deliveries of its product with quality that matches its performance. Once here, it’ll go up against the Ather 450X, Ola S1, TVS iQube Electric and the Tork Kratos.
