Maruti Suzuki is stepping into the EV segment with their first-ever product, the e Vitara. It has now been spied on the roads under heavy wrapping, giving subtle hints at what was previously unexplored—its interior—for the first time. This maiden Maruti electric compact SUV has been a topic of discussion ever since it was first showcased as the eVX concept. Now that its production-ready version has already been teased in India, all eyes are on its debut, scheduled for the upcoming Bharat Mobility Global Expo in January 2025. Let’s take a brief look at what could be seen from the test mule spotted:
Starting with the unexplored territory first–the India-spec e Vitara’s interior. Through the window panel, we got a sneak peek inside and spotted dual integrated screens and a two-spoke steering wheel.
Additionally, the e Vitara’s interior promises a fresh, premium design with a dual-tone theme and a modern dashboard layout. Internationally, it comes equipped with features like automatic climate control, a panoramic sunroof, ventilated front seats, a 360-degree camera, a head-up display, a wireless phone charger, and connected car tech.
For safety, it offers six standard airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control and an electronic parking brake with auto-hold. Also, a closer look at the front of the vehicle reveals the radar module, confirming that the India-spec model will indeed be equipped with ADAS, making it the first Maruti Suzuki car to boast this safety kit.
The test mule, covered in black wraps, reveals details confirming the e Vitara's design which looks modern and trendy with a blanked off grille and slight sloping roofline. As for the international spec model, the front features sharp LED headlights, three-piece DRLs, a bold blacked-out bumper, and fog lamps at the bottom.

The side profile highlights 18-inch black alloy wheels (19-inch with AWD), prominent body cladding, and unique rear door handles mounted on the C-pillar.
At the back, you get to see sleek LED tail lights, matching the DRL design, a shark fin antenna, and a roof-mounted spoiler.
The international-spec e Vitara gets multiple powertrain options in Europe:
