Existing Nexon EVs will get the updated features in a software update.
The update will be available from July 25 at Tata’s service centres.
Tata has updated its standard-range Nexon EV with new features seen in the long-range version. The electric SUV will now be called the Nexon EV Prime, and it gets smartwatch connectivity, cruise control, multi-mode regenerative braking and indirect tyre pressure monitoring (TPMS) as standard features. All of these features will be added to existing Nexon EVs with a software update that’s set to roll out from July 25 onwards.

The Nexon EV Prime is powered by the same 30.2kWh battery pack and a 130PS/245Nm electric motor. As a part of the new update, it gets regenerative braking-activated brake lights and a charging timeout of 110 seconds. As before, the Nexon EV Prime is kitted out with features such as an electric sunroof, auto headlamps and wipers, 7-inch infotainment touchscreen with Apple Carplay and Android Auto and an 8-speaker Harman sound system.
The standard-range Tata Nexon EV Prime costs between Rs 14.99 lakh and Rs 17.5 lakh. Tata has recently bumped up the prices of its cars across the range, and the Nexon EV Max now costs Rs 18.34 lakh onwards (all prices ex-showroom, pan-India).

The standard-range Nexon EV Prime XZ+ and XZ+ Lux variants are available in blacked-out Dark editions for an additional Rs 20,000. You can get a 7.2kW AC fast charger with the Nexon EV Max for Rs 50,000 over the trim-wise prices.
The new features which are a part of the Nexon EV Prime update will be extended to all existing Nexon EV owners. The features will be available to install as a software update at authorised service centres from July 25 onwards at no additional cost.
