Tata Passenger Electric Mobility or in simple words, Tata Motors’ electric car division, has just announced its new brand identity, Tata.ev. The Indian marque says its new identity is put in order to the carmaker’s aim to fuse the values of sustainability, community, and technology. Also, the brand’s EV division will have a new tag line: Move With Meaning.
Commenting on the latest development, Vivek Srivatsa, head of marketing, sales and service strategy, Tata Passenger Electric Mobility, said, “Our new brand identity for electric vehicles underlines our commitment to accelerate the adoption of clean energy mobility solutions. We intend to drive positive change in the automotive industry with the focus on sustainability, community, and technology. Both the products and services are intended to create highly differentiated and meaningful consumer experiences. The brand personality is humane, honest, invigorating, and conversational – a rallying point for those curious about having a better impact on the world.”
Along with the introduction of its new brand identity, Tata also took this opportunity to showcase its new logo. The ‘.ev’ suffix is placed in an orbit, which the carmaker says fosters a circular ecosystem of human and environmental interaction. The carmaker also says Tata.ev’s distinct colour scheme is its Evo Teal hue, highlighting Tata’s commitment for a sustainable future.
Tata’s new brand identity is not limited to just its appearance, but has an associated sound, which combines electronic circuits and a powerful ripple sound.
Tata Motors says it will start rolling out its new brand identity in a phased manner. And it’s also safe to say that the carmaker has been ruling the electric car segment with over 70 percent market share. Coming up next from Tata is the heavily revised Nexon and Nexon EV, which is slated for launch on September 14.
