The main change is the addition of a larger battery pack, helping it cover more distance on a single charge. And if you’re wondering how much longer the Nexon EV Max can cover on a single charge, Tata has shared a teaser giving an idea of the road trips you can plan in the upcoming EV.

Based on the above table and data given by Tata, you can expect the Nexon EV Max to have a real-world range of around 300km. To set context, the standard Nexon EV is capable of doing around 250km in real-world conditions on a single charge when we tested it back in February 2021. For a more detailed insight about the standard car’s range, read our in-depth first drive review.
This is no doubt helped by the battery pack, which is expected to be a 40kWh unit, teamed with probably a more powerful 136PS electric motor. The standard model gets a 129PS electric motor, paired with a 30.2kWh battery, helping it to boast an ARAI-claimed range of around 312km.
Changes in the Nexon EV Max will not be limited to just the powertrain aspect. The electric vehicle will feature other changes like the addition of a park mode, rear disc brakes, an electronic parking brake with auto hold, and a different set of alloy wheels. You can take a closer look at the changes expected in the battery-powered SUV here.

The Nexon EV Max will be sold alongside the standard SUV and will command a premium over the current model that starts from Rs 14.79 lakh (ex-showroom pan-India). Sure, it will become more expensive, but will still be a more affordable option against the MG ZS EV and Hyundai Kona Electric.
