Notably, the Nexon EV Bandipur Edition is the fifth special edition for the sub-compact SUV after the Kaziranga Edition, Dark Edition, Jet Edition, and Red Dark Edition since its market launch.
While the previous Nexon EV Kaziranga Edition was inspired by the Kaziranga Nation Park in Assam – a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the new Nexon EV Bandipur Edition is based on the Bandipur National Park in Karnataka. However, the sub-four metre SUV keeps the same overall design. To make the Bandipur Edition stand out from standard Nexon, it gets new badges on either side of fenders.
The interior of the new Nexon EV Bandipur Edition carries over the same vibes as the exterior. featuring a new cabin theme. Tata has given it distinct upholstery with decorative stitching and special edition logos embroidered on the headrests.
Apart from the distinct theme, the Nexon EV Bandipur gets the same layout and in-cabin features, including the free-standing infotainment and two-spoke steering wheel with an illuminated Tata logo.
The Nexon EV Bandipur Edition benefits from all features of the standard model. The key highlights include a panoramic sunroof, a 12.3-inch touchscreen information touchscreen, a 10.25-inch all-digital instrument cluster, a wireless phone charger, ventilated front seats, a 9-speaker JBL sound system, connected car tech, and cruise control. Whereas, the safety kit equipment comprises 6 airbags, a 360-degree camera, blind view monitor, electronic stability programme (ESP), hill hold assist, and front and rear parking sensors.
The Nexon EV Bandipur Edition, on the other hand, is powered by two battery packs with a maximum claimed range of 489 km, as per MIDC Part 1+2. The motor produces 129 PS / 215 Nm and 144 PS / 215 Nm. It supports up to 60 kW DC and 7.2 kW AC charging speeds.
Tata Motors is expected to launch the new Nexon Bandipur Edition in the coming weeks. More importantly, it is likely that the new special edition will command a premium over the regular model.
